Artist Statement: 

My map was inspired by real places that have helped shape the person I am today. Each piece represents a place that I have known as home, a place that I feel attached to. The first represents the moon, a motherly figure that watches over (I have grown up with my mom mainly, and I have watched the moon move with us during our long car rides we'd always take). The second piece is representational of the mountains, a place we'd frequently visit, me, my dad, my mom, and our dog. The last piece is representational of the water, the sea-foam on a shore. I grew up on the water, and even with my move for college I have remained by water.
